Dairy Does

Our dairy does are valuable members of our herd.  They provide us with colostrum to freeze for emergencies, extra milk for us, our soap making and any bottle babies AND they raise great meat kids and replacement production doelings.  Our dairy "herd" consists of three purebred Nubians and one LaMancha/Saanen cross.

Cheerio
* Cheerio
* Sire:  Unknown
* Dam:  Unknown
* DOB:  Early 2005
Cheerio is an ENORMOUS purebred Nubian.  We were lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to purchase her from Copper Creek Boers.  We now know we would have been crazy to pass her up!  Cheerio is tall and long bodied with incredible depth.  She is very strong on her feet and legs.  This year, she is feeding triplets easily and her udder is not even producing at capacity.  Early in her lactation she was feeding her kids plus two bottle kids.

Deana
* SEDRO Dean's Deana
* Sire: Unknown Saanen
* Dam: SEDRO Make Me A Star
* DOB: 8.1.2004

Deana is a solid doe who has the build to produce great meat kids. Like all of the goats that we have purchased from Andy and Terrisa at Hillside Farm, she is very sweet tempered and easy to get along with and is great on the milk stand.

* Sire: Coffee Cup's Skor Some Kisses
* Dam: T & L March's Ranch Alysumm
* DOB: 1.2.2005
* Reg. #: N1321226
Cami is a beautiful red spotted Nubian doe.  Although she has kidded before, evidently she is very picky about which buck gets the honor...Cami did not like her previous owner's bucks and wouldn't let them near her!  Since we have several boys here we decided to give her a try.  Cami is a typical bottle baby, very sweet and personable but also very pesty at times!
